The Students for Liberty Annual Report for 2008-09 is out. I have a blurb on page 17:
Observing events at home and abroad, it is often easy to be discouraged both by the incompetence and corruption of our leadership and by the extent to which people look to government for solutions to their problems. But then I think of Students For Liberty, which is part of a quiet, but burgeoning revolution, one in which young people throughout the country and the world, among whom are future leaders, are realizing that government is the problem, not the solution. And so, I remain an abiding optimist.
While it was always difficult to galvanize libertarians at Brown, it has been both enjoyable and inspiring to be a part of Students for Liberty. Their leadership is dedicated and remarkably effective (just read the report), and I think that it is well positioned to contribute as much or more to the liberty movement than any other existing organization.
